Clinical Staff II pharmacists will be expected to serve as preceptors for pharmacy students and residents with IM rotation requirements, as well as participate in other resident learning experiences. Clinical Staff II pharmacist responsibilities include a 50/50 split of rounding with a multidisciplinary healthcare team for inpatient faculty Internal Medicine services and providing day/evening decentralized zone coverage for various clinical units in 4-week alternating blocks.ĬRMH also has a pharmacy residency program comprised of 13 residents, including seven PGY1s, and six PGY2s in Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Infectious Diseases, and Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership. The Clinical Staff II pharmacist in Internal Medicine will be part of the medicine service line composed of an Internal Medicine Clinical Pharmacy Specialist and other Clinical Staff II pharmacists in Internal and Family Medicine who cover five medicine teams. ![]() It is also affiliated with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and has numerous post-graduate training programs, including multiple medical and surgical residencies and fellowships.
